FRANK MASCARO

Pastor Emeritus
After 12 years on staff as Pastor of Discipleship at a church in
Roseville, Pastor Frank felt God leading him and his wife Cheryl to
plant a new church in west Roseville and Westside Church began
in November of 2005.
Pastor Frank was born in Sacramento and grew up here in the
Sacramento Valley in the small rural town of East Nicolaus. He
graduated from California State University, Fresno and received
Christ shortly after in January 1975.
He taught special education students in the Sacramento/Roseville
area for ten years and in the middle of his teaching career spent
a year in Uganda, Africa working with an organization that cared
for orphans living in the streets of Kampala following the removal
of Idi Amin.
Upon his return from Uganda, Frank met Cheryl and they were
married in 1984. They have two children, now grown, and four
grandchildren with more on the way. In 1987, feeling a call to
full—time ministry, they relocated to Dallas, Texas where Frank
attended  Dallas Theological Seminary graduating with a ThM in
Bible Exposition.
He has been in full – time ministry for the last 29 years, with the
past 13 years as the founding and senior pastor of Westside
Christian Church.
In 2015, Cheryl retired from Intel Corporation (after 24 years) and
Frank joined her in retirement on January 2018 with the title of
Pastor Emeritus conferred upon him by the church. They continue
to attend and serve at Westside in a variety of capacities, which
involve their passion for teaching and discipling others in the
Christian faith.
As Frank transitions into this new phase of life, he will continue to
pursue his passion to point others to Christ through the
Scriptures, as well as pursue his interest in fishing, hunting, golf
and photography.
